The Hospice of St Francis have rebranded all their high street charity shops with the creative input of Solo Design. Launching first with their Berkhamsted ‘Owned’ shop, the design uses the bold corporate colours, crisp white typography and an iconic image to link the shop to its location within the towntown. This was an important part of the brief. The Hospice wanted very much to give the local community ownership of their shop and location and the iconic images in each case endeavour to do this. For Berkhamsted the Totem pole, Highfield in Hemel Hempstead the 1960s architecture. Abbots Langley, Marshalswick in St Albans, and Kings Langly will all follow shortly with their own individual images. The local feedback has so far been very postitive.
